How this is worked out

Every figure here comes from your own inputs and the four lines below. Nothing is a benchmark, and nothing is hidden.

What actually earns a citation →

  1. 01Target − today = the points of mention rate to find.
  2. 02Divided by the lift you get per page = pages needed.
  3. 03Divided by your publishing pace = weeks.
  4. 04The split is 40% comparison pages, 60% source pages — the mix that tends to earn citations.

What it assumes

  • Lift per page is the number to be honest about. A page that answers a tracked question well moves the rate; a page nobody asks for moves nothing.
  • It assumes every page lands. Budget for a share that doesn't, or plan at a lower lift.
  • Points of mention rate get harder near the top — the last ten are slower than the first ten.
