Peec AI and Mentionova both track whether ChatGPT, Gemini and Google's AI answers name your brand. They split on three things: how often the answers are recorded, how many engines one plan covers, and what the tool does once it finds a gap. Peec prices and plan limits below were read from peec.ai on 29 October 2026. Mentionova figures come from our own pricing and compare pages. We make Mentionova, so this page says where Peec is the better buy.
What are the key takeaways?
- Peec AI Starter is $95 a month for 50 prompts on 3 models, run daily, which Peec counts as 4,500 AI answers a month. Pro is $245 (150 prompts) and Advanced $495 (350 prompts). Every self-serve plan is capped at 3 active models.
- Mentionova Starter is $125 a month ($99 billed annually) for 25 prompts on 3 engines. Scale is $400 ($320 annually) for 100 prompts on all six engines, including Claude and Reddit.
- Peec wins on cadence and price per prompt. It runs every prompt daily. Mentionova runs weekly, every two weeks or monthly.
- Mentionova wins on engines per plan and on what happens after the gap. It writes the brief, drafts the article, pushes it to your CMS for approval and drafts Reddit replies for a person to post.
- Peec has moved past "recommendations only". Since September 2026 it ranks actions, writes hand-off briefs and edits existing pages in an in-app editor. Peec's pricing page lists no CMS publishing integration.
- Trials differ. Peec offers 7 days. Mentionova offers 14 days, no card, 5 prompts, all six engines.

Is Peec AI or Mentionova cheaper?
Peec AI is cheaper per tracked prompt at every tier. Its Starter costs $95 a month for 50 prompts run daily. Mentionova Starter costs $125 monthly, or $99 annually, for 25 prompts run weekly at most. Mentionova only competes on price when you need more than three engines without an Enterprise contract.
| Plan level | Peec AI (monthly, peec.ai, 29 Oct 2026) | Mentionova (monthly / annual) |
|---|---|---|
| Entry | Starter $95: 50 prompts, 3 models, 1 project | Starter $125 / $99: 25 prompts, 3 engines, 100 agentic tasks |
| Mid | Pro $245: 150 prompts, 3 models, 2 projects, 3 countries | Scale $400 / $320: 100 prompts, 6 engines, 500 agentic tasks |
| Upper | Advanced $495: 350 prompts, 3 models, 5 projects, Looker Studio connector | Enterprise $999 / $799: 250 prompts, 6 engines, 2,500 agentic tasks |
| Top | Enterprise: custom, unlimited prompts and models, SSO | Agency plans: Launch $250 / $200 (3 workspaces), Growth $999 / $799 (10 workspaces) |
Two notes on the numbers:
- Peec prices above are monthly billing. Every self-serve Peec plan has three active models; more models means Enterprise.
- Mentionova's agency prices come from our plans overview, read 29 October 2026. Plan limits are on the pricing page.
For the whole category in one table, see AI visibility tool pricing in 2026.
Which AI engines does each tool track?
Peec names more engines in total, but each self-serve plan runs only three of them. Mentionova names six and runs all six on Scale. Peec covers Google AI Overviews, AI Mode and Copilot, which Mentionova does not schedule. Mentionova covers Claude and Reddit as engines below Enterprise, which Peec's self-serve plans do not list.
What each plan can track, as read on 29 October 2026:
- Peec AI self-serve (Starter, Pro, Advanced). Choose 3 active models. The plan table lists ChatGPT, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini and Naver AI.
- Peec AI Enterprise. Adds Perplexity plus API-based models: Claude Sonnet 4, GPT 5 Search, Grok, DeepSeek, Qwen, Mistral and Meta Spark.
- Mentionova Starter. ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google. Google means the organic top ten; AI Overviews are pulled on demand, not on a schedule.
- Mentionova Scale and above. ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Google and Reddit.
This is the core trade. With Peec you get daily answers from three engines you choose. With Mentionova Scale you get weekly answers from six fixed engines. If your buyers live in Google AI Mode or Copilot, Peec covers them and Mentionova does not. If they ask Claude, or if Reddit threads drive the answers in your category, Mentionova covers that on one plan.
How often does each tool run your prompts?
Peec AI runs every tracked prompt once every 24 hours on each selected model. Mentionova runs each workspace weekly, every two weeks or monthly, and rescores opportunities nightly from the latest run. If you need a daily line on a chart, Peec is the right tool. Mentionova does not offer daily runs.
Daily runs matter because AI answers are unstable. SparkToro's January 2026 study with Gumshoe found that fewer than 1 in 100 repeated runs of a prompt returned the same brand list. More runs give a steadier rate. Peec's 4,500 answers a month on Starter is a real advantage for measurement.
Weekly runs are enough when the decision is "what do we publish next" rather than "what changed today". Mentionova logs eight typed drift events between runs (a mention gained or lost, a position up or down, a changed description, a sentiment shift, a competitor entering or leaving) and sends a daily opportunities digest. That is a different job from daily measurement, and it is honest to call it slower.
What happens after each tool finds a gap?
Both tools now turn data into actions. Peec ranks site, owned and earned actions, writes hand-off briefs and edits existing pages in an in-app optimizer. Mentionova scores each gap 0 to 100, attaches a brief, drafts a new article in your brand voice and sends it to your CMS for approval.
What Peec added in September 2026 (Peec changelog, 13 October 2026):
- Actions. A ranked list of opportunities with evidence: site fixes first, then owned actions on your pages, then earned actions such as listings, editorial pitches and reviews.
- Content optimizer. Opens an existing page in an in-app editor with suggested changes you accept, edit or reject. It works on feature pages, articles and listicles.
- Peec Agent. 30 built-in skills, project and company context, and 20+ MCP connectors such as Notion and Linear. Agent credits are included: 500 on Starter, 750 on Pro, 1,000 on Advanced.
- Approval by default. "Nothing changes without your approval."
What Mentionova does after a gap:
- Opportunity scoring. Every night, each opportunity is scored 0 to 100 on gap, reach, effort and heat, with a diagnosis and a specific action.
- Brief to draft. The workflow runs brief, research, keywords, article, fact-check, editor, approval and schema.
- CMS delivery. The draft lands in WordPress, Webflow, Ghost, Sanity or a webhook. Nothing goes live without you.
The difference is narrower than it was a quarter ago. Peec improves pages you already have and hands briefs to your team. Mentionova writes the new page. Peec's pricing page lists no CMS publishing integration.
Which tool fits which team?
Pick Peec AI if you want daily numbers, unlimited seats and a lower price per prompt, and your team already writes and publishes. Pick Mentionova if you want six engines without an Enterprise contract and want each gap turned into a CMS draft and a Reddit reply. Pick neither on brand alone.
Choose Peec AI if:
- You report a daily visibility line to leadership.
- Many people need logins. Every Peec plan has unlimited users.
- You need Google AI Mode, AI Overviews or Copilot on a schedule.
- You want crawler log analytics from Cloudflare, Vercel, AWS or Akamai.
- You track several countries. Pro and Advanced allow three.
- Your content team already ships fast and needs direction, not drafts.
Choose Mentionova if:
- You want ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Google and Reddit on one $400 plan ($320 annual).
- The bottleneck is writing, not knowing. You want the brief and the draft, not just the action.
- Reddit threads shape answers in your category and you want reply drafts a person can post.
- You run clients and want native white-label reports and isolated workspaces from $250 a month ($200 annual).
- You want 14 days on your own prompts before you pay, with no card.

Where does Mentionova lose to Peec AI?
Mentionova loses on cadence, prompt count, price per prompt, seats and engine breadth for Google surfaces. It runs weekly at most, Starter has half of Peec Starter's prompts at a higher price, and it does not schedule AI Overviews, AI Mode or Copilot. It also has no crawler logs or prompt volume data.
The losses, plainly:
- No daily runs. Weekly, every two weeks or monthly only.
- Fewer prompts for the money. $125 monthly buys 25 prompts. Peec's $95 buys 50.
- Three engines on Starter. Claude, Gemini and Reddit need Scale.
- No scheduled Google AI surfaces. AI Overviews are on demand. AI Mode and Copilot are not tracked.
- No crawler log analytics. Mentionova attributes AI traffic on pages, but it does not ingest bot logs.
- No prompt volume data. Peec scores relative demand 1 to 5 per prompt. Mentionova does not sell demand data.
- No AI shopping or ads tracking. Peec tracks product catalogs, SKU visibility and sponsored placements in ChatGPT answers.
- API starts at Scale. Peec includes the API from Pro ($245).
If daily measurement across Google's AI surfaces is the job, buy Peec. We would rather you pick the right tool than cancel in month two.
How do you test Peec AI and Mentionova side by side?
Run the same five unbranded buyer prompts in both trials during the same week. Compare mention rate per engine, the sources each tool shows, and how long each takes to give you something you can ship. Peec's trial is 7 days, so start it on day 7 of Mentionova's 14.
A two-week plan:
- Day 1. Write five unbranded prompts a buyer would type. Start the Mentionova trial and add them.
- Day 7. Start Peec's 7-day trial with the same five prompts on ChatGPT, Gemini and one Google AI surface.
- Days 7 to 13. Let both run. Do not edit prompts.
- Day 13. Export mention rate and cited domains per engine from both.
- Day 14. Take the top gap. Time how long each tool takes to get you to a fix: Peec's action and page edit, or Mentionova's brief and CMS draft.
Expect the numbers to differ. Peec has seven daily samples per prompt per model by then; Mentionova has two weekly runs. Judge the direction, not the decimal.
