Peec AI and Profound are the two AI visibility tools buyers compare most often, and in October 2026 they stopped being priced alike. Peec publishes three self-serve plans from $95 a month. Profound now publishes a free 7-day trial and a custom Enterprise plan, and nothing in between. Everything below was read from both vendors' sites on 29 October 2026. We make Mentionova, a third option, and we cover it last and plainly.
What are the key takeaways?
- Peec AI is $95, $245 or $495 a month on monthly billing for 50, 150 or 350 prompts, run daily on 3 models, with unlimited users. Enterprise is custom.
- Profound no longer sells self-serve brand plans. Its pricing page lists a free 7-day trial (50 preset prompts, 3 engines) and custom Enterprise.
- Profound tracks more engines on Enterprise, up to 9, and sells Prompt Volumes data. Peec's self-serve plans run 3 models; its Enterprise adds the rest.
- Profound's Agents write content and stage it in your CMS. Peec writes hand-off briefs and edits existing pages; its pricing page lists no CMS publishing integration.
- Peec fits self-serve teams and agencies that want a published price. Profound fits enterprises with a contract budget and compliance needs.
- Mentionova is a third route: published prices from $99 a month billed annually, six engines on Scale, drafts sent to your CMS, but weekly runs instead of daily.
How do Peec AI and Profound compare at a glance?
Peec AI is a self-serve analytics tool with daily runs, three models per plan, unlimited seats and published prices. Profound is an enterprise platform with up to nine engines, prompt-volume data, crawler analytics and content agents, sold after a 7-day trial on a custom contract. The table compares both, read 29 October 2026.

Is Peec AI or Profound cheaper?
Peec AI is cheaper to start and the only one with a published price. Its Starter costs $95 a month for 50 prompts. Profound's only priced option is a free 7-day trial; ongoing tracking for brands requires a custom Enterprise quote. For a team without an enterprise budget, Peec is the cheaper choice by default.
| Peec AI (peec.ai, 29 Oct 2026) | Profound (tryprofound.com, 29 Oct 2026) | |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 7-day trial; free one-off GEO report | 7-day trial: 50 preset prompts, daily, 3 engines, limited AI Marketer credits |
| Entry paid | Starter $95: 50 prompts, 3 models, 1 project, 500 agent credits | None published for brands |
| Mid | Pro $245: 150 prompts, 2 projects, 3 countries, API | None published |
| Upper | Advanced $495: 350 prompts, 5 projects, Looker Studio connector | None published |

| Agencies | Agency plans on peec.ai/pricing-agencies: Essential, Growth and Scale, priced in credits | "Self-serve Agency Growth plan" with 400 credits per client workspace a month; no price on the pricing page |
Peec's prices above are on monthly billing. Profound's pricing page names the Agency Growth plan but gives no price for it.
Does Profound still sell a self-serve brand plan?
No. Profound's pricing page, read on 29 October 2026, lists two options: a free 7-day Trial (50 preset prompts, daily, on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews) and a custom Enterprise plan. There is no paid self-serve brand plan between them.
One thing for buyers to watch: Peec's own Peec-vs-Profound page, read the same day, still says "Profound is $99 for 50 prompts and $399 for 100". Profound's live pricing page lists no such plans, so do not budget from comparisons that quote those figures.
Which AI engines does each tool track?
Profound covers more engines at the top: up to nine on Enterprise, named on its pricing page as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek, Anthropic Claude, Google AI Overviews and Exa Search. Peec's self-serve plans run three models you choose, and its Enterprise tier adds API-based models such as Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Qwen and Mistral.
How engine access works on each:
- Peec AI self-serve. 3 active models on Starter, Pro and Advanced. The plan table lists ChatGPT, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Copilot, Gemini and Naver AI.
- Peec AI Enterprise. Adds Perplexity, Claude Sonnet 4, GPT 5 Search, Grok, DeepSeek, Qwen, Mistral and Meta Spark, with unlimited active models.
- Profound Trial. ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, one language.
- Profound Enterprise. "Up to 9 Answer Engines tracked".
Both run prompts daily. Peec states each prompt runs once every 24 hours on every selected model, which it counts as 4,500 answers a month on Starter. Profound's FAQ says Enterprise includes ongoing daily tracking.
If you need Google AI Mode or Copilot without a contract, only Peec offers that self-serve. If you need Claude or DeepSeek, both put them behind Enterprise.
What does each tool do with the data?
Both now go past dashboards. Profound's Agents and AI Marketer write content and stage it in your CMS. Peec ranks site, owned and earned actions, writes hand-off briefs and edits existing pages in an in-app optimizer. Profound writes the new page; Peec improves the page you have.
Profound, from its pricing page and homepage:
- AI Marketer and Agents. Reusable workflows for your team's recurring marketing work, priced in credits. The trial has limited credits; more require Enterprise.
- Context Manager and Suggestions. Brand knowledge feeds the agents; suggestions flag opportunities.
- Agent Analytics. AI crawler traffic from Akamai, AWS, Cloudflare, Fastly, Google Cloud, Netlify, Vercel and WordPress, plus Google Analytics.
- Prompt Volumes and ChatGPT Shopping on Enterprise.
Peec, from its pricing page and 13 October 2026 changelog:
- Actions. Ranked opportunities with evidence, from site fixes to earned placements.
- Content optimizer. Suggested edits to existing pages, accepted or rejected one by one.
- Peec Agent. 30 built-in skills and 20+ MCP connectors, with 500 to 1,000 agent credits by plan.
- Brand perception, fact-checking, AI shopping and an Ads library on every plan.
Peec's pricing page lists no CMS publishing integration; its integrations are CDN and log providers plus Google Analytics.
Which tool fits which team?
Peec AI fits marketing teams and agencies that want to buy today at a published price, need many seats, and already have a content process. Profound fits enterprise teams that need nine engines, prompt-volume research, crawler logs, compliance controls and in-tool content agents, and can negotiate a contract.
Choose Peec AI if:
- You need a price you can put in a budget request today.
- Many people need access. Unlimited users on every plan.
- You track two or three countries without an enterprise contract.
- You want your own prompts from day one. Profound's trial uses a preset set.
- You want the API at $245 a month. Profound puts it on Enterprise.
Choose Profound if:
- You need more than three engines at once, including Copilot, Claude or DeepSeek.
- Procurement requires SSO/SAML and SOC 2 from a single vendor contract.
- You want Prompt Volumes data to size topics.
- You want agents that write and publish inside the tool.
- Your budget is enterprise-sized. Profound announced a $180M Series D at a $1.8B valuation on 15 September 2026.
Where does Mentionova fit as a third option?
Mentionova sits between them. It publishes its prices like Peec, from $99 a month billed annually, and drafts new content into your CMS like Profound. Scale tracks six engines for $400 a month ($320 annually). It runs weekly rather than daily and lacks crawler logs and prompt volumes, so it is not a straight upgrade on either.
| Mentionova | |
|---|---|
| Plans | Starter $125/mo ($99 annual): 25 prompts, 3 engines. Scale $400 ($320 annual): 100 prompts, 6 engines. Enterprise $999 ($799 annual): 250 prompts |
| Engines | Starter: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google. Scale and above: adds Claude, Gemini and Reddit |
| Cadence | Weekly, every two weeks or monthly; opportunities rescored nightly |
| Content | Scored opportunities, briefs and drafts sent to WordPress, Webflow, Ghost, Sanity or a webhook, with approval |
| Tracked engine on Scale and above; reply drafts for a person to post | |
| Agencies | Launch $250 ($200 annual), 3 workspaces; Growth $999 ($799 annual), 10 workspaces; white-label reports |
| Trial | 14 days, no card, 5 prompts, all six engines |
Where Mentionova is weaker than both: no daily runs, no scheduled AI Overviews, AI Mode or Copilot, no crawler logs, and no prompt-volume data. Starter has 25 prompts, half of Peec's $95 Starter. Pick it if the job is turning gaps into published pages and you want a price list, not a sales call. Plan limits are on the pricing page.

How do you test Peec AI and Profound before you commit?
Both offer 7-day trials, so run them in the same week with the same prompts where you can. Profound's trial uses a preset prompt set you cannot edit, so compare category-level results, not prompt-by-prompt. Record mention rate, sources and the first action each tool gives you.
A one-week plan:
- Day 1. Start both trials. In Peec, add five unbranded buyer prompts on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, the three engines Profound's trial covers.
- Days 2 to 6. Let daily runs accumulate. Do not edit Peec prompts mid-test.
- Day 6. Export mention rate and top cited domains per engine from both. Check that both name the same competitors.
- Day 7. Take your top gap to each tool's action layer. Note which gives you something you can ship that week.
- Before day 7 ends. Ask Profound for an Enterprise quote in writing, and price Peec's plan plus any extra models you need.
Results will not match exactly. SparkToro's January 2026 study with Gumshoe found fewer than 1 in 100 repeated runs returned the same brand list. Judge direction across days, not single answers.
