What the Brand Marketplace is
A directory of brands that serve a similar audience without competing with you, plus the machinery to arrange a mention. Nothing here is paid: there are no placements to buy, no fees and no payments anywhere in it.
Your brand card
You opt in and create a listing. Fill with AI drafts it from your website — tagline, about, audience, who an ideal partner is — and you edit from there. Open to chips say what you'll do: newsletter swap, social cross-post, co-created content, product bundle, joint event, review exchange.
One switch is worth knowing: Show verified AI-visibility stats adds your mention rate, recommend rate and share of voice to the card, snapshotted when you save. It needs the listing attached to a Mentionova workspace.
Discover
A grid of brand cards with segment chips across the top — All brands · New · Not contacted · Reached out · Said no — plus search and an industry filter. "New" means listed in the last 30 days. Cards carry a verified badge, industry, the collaboration types the brand is open to, and chips when they've shown interest in you or been recommended for you.
Recommendations come from a read of each listing's niche, adjacent niches and ideal-customer tags, with competitors excluded.
Interested vs Reach out
Interested is the quiet signal — like a like. When both sides show interest it becomes a match and opens a chat.
Reach out is the direct ask, and it names the deal: Swap mentions (each of you features the other, both tracked) or Be mentioned (they include you in something of theirs, and you send the blurb once they accept). You can add a note or let it write a default.
The exchange board
An accepted reach-out becomes a tracked exchange that moves across five columns: Needs your reply · Waiting on them · In progress · Live · Verified. Each card shows the single next action — accept, send blurb, add your URL, mark your mention live.
How a mention gets verified
"Live" is a human claim. Verified is not: a daily job watches your own citation data and marks the exchange verified only when the partner's domain actually shows up citing you in AI answers.
Reaching brands that aren't here yet
Reaching out to a brand with no listing sends an email invitation; the card then shows who was invited, with a resend.

Discover, Interested, matches and your brand card are live. The exchange half — deal types, the stage board, the mention blurb, the do-not-contact list and daily verification — ships behind a flag and is not switched on in production yet.
