Setting up your first workspace

Create a workspace for a brand and configure competitors.

What is a workspace?

A workspace represents one brand you want to monitor. If you're an agency, you'll have one workspace per client. Each workspace has its own prompts, citations, pages, and team access settings.

Create a workspace

  1. From the Dashboard, click New workspace.
  2. Enter your brand name exactly as you want it detected in AI responses (e.g., "Acme Corp" or "Acme").
  3. Add your website URL.
  4. Add brand aliases if your brand is known by other names (abbreviations, alternate spellings).
  5. Add competitors - these are the brands you want to compare your visibility against.

Tip: Click Fill with AI to auto-populate the workspace form. Mentionova will scrape your website and fill in your brand name, aliases, competitors, and other details for you. Review and edit before saving.

Competitors

Competitors show up in your share of voice metrics, mention heatmaps, and opportunity scoring. You can add or remove competitors at any time from workspace settings. Changes apply retroactively to your historical data.

Workspace limits

The number of workspaces you can create depends on your plan. Starter and Scale plans include 1 workspace, and Enterprise plans include 3+. You'll see your usage in Settings > Billing.
