Docs Monitoring Citations

Citations

Every URL cited in AI responses about your brand's space.

What are citations?

When an AI engine answers a question, it often cites URLs as sources. The Citations tab collects every URL that has been cited across all your prompt runs and organizes them into a searchable, filterable archive.

Two views

  • By URL - one row per unique URL. See which specific articles, pages, and forum threads are being cited most.
  • By domain - aggregated to the domain level. See which websites have the most influence in your space.

What you see for each citation

  • Citation count - how many times this URL or domain has been cited.
  • Influence score - citation count weighted by domain authority. Focus on URLs that actually move the needle.
  • Classification - automatically tagged as your domain, competitor, media, review site, marketplace, government, or docs. Page type (listicle, comparison, forum thread, review, video, homepage) is detected too.
  • Sentiment - positive, neutral, or negative. Is the cited page speaking well of your brand?
  • Brand reference - whether your brand is actually mentioned on the cited page, or the engine just pointed there.
